Indian Lake borough consists of 2000 developed acres of recreational land-beauty, relaxation and activity! It's a great place for year round living or for your second or vacation home. The "Lake" is 750 acres in size and is private-you must be a property owner in Indian Lake Borough to use and enjoy the lake. Lake Stonycreek, adjacent to Indian Lake in Stonycreek township, is also a private lake. Although smaller in size, also a great lake for boating, fishing, swimming, water skiing, etc. For the golfing enthusiasts, a private eighteen hole course and a public eighteen hole course will delight and challenge you! During the winter months the snow can transform Indian Lake into a "Winter Wonderland". Clear, white and beautiful! Indian Lake is approximately twenty minutes west of Somerset, PA off exit 10 on PA turnpike. Driving time from Pittsburgh is approximately 90 minutes; from Ligonier, PA, approx. 30 minutes; from Breezewood, PA, approx. 45 minutes; from Harrisburg, PA, approx. 2.5 hours; from Washington areas approx. 3.15 hours.
